if you ever feel bad about yourself, just remember that one time i had to fly with my cello so we bought it a seat
and it got upgraded to first class
i hate being that guy who adds onto a text post but my dad is a cellist and he has to buy a seat for his cello every time he has to fly somewhere for a show and the cello has become such a valued customer for airlines that we regularly get mail addressed to “Cello Friesen” for airfare deals and stuff
Ok, this is getting posted here, and will be my last response to you.
I’m not trying to be a patroller here, but I am going to goddam well stand up for myself and people like me. In terms of asexuality, I have the potential to be just as oppressed as you are. As such, I have every right to decide if I am, indeed, oppressed, and in what ways. Furthermore, all I can infer from your tone is that you are being divisive and elitist, things the asexual community does not need.
I was thinking critically when I made that comment. It was necessary in my eyes. My race and gender do not make my opinion on basic asexual oppression less valuable, even if it might on, say, non-cissexual, non-female, and non-white asexual oppression. Those problems are worse. But you know what? THIS ISN’T THE OPPRESSION OLYMPICS. We’re all oppressed in one way or another, and should be working together to end that, not dividing ourselves based on whose opinion is “more useful.”
Good bye, and good luck. Hopefully you’ll think about this a bit and see what was wrong with your statements, but if not, hopefully your worldview will work out for you in the end.
